I have this Super 8 movie camera. How amazing is that? My dad casually took this box that looks like a century old, this evening and proceeded to say, "See what you can do with this. It's brand new, never used." At first I was wondering the the hell it was. I couldn't believe it. Super 8? Never. What? Here? Stored up for decades? What the hell dad?
It seriously feels like Christmas day. I've got a studio space (pics to come soon) this week and an antique camera. My buddy on twitter said that it's good karma. Yay karma!
I now need some help with sourcing some accessories, which I am sure are not available in Trinidad. I am crossing my fingers that it's actually working, because it's been in storage for so long. I've been meaning to go to David's Film Vue for a number of reasons but if anyone else has other practical suggestions or contacts please let me know. Meanwhile I am quite excited at all the possibilities.
